What is Digibyte?
Digibyte (DGB) is a fast, secure, and scalable cryptocurrency designed for everyday payments. It uses four independent mining algorithms to boost security and decentralization, enabling quick, low-fee transactions worldwide and a focus on long-term reliability in the blockchain space.
Why does Digibyte have inflation?
Digibyte has inflation because new coins are issued as block rewards to miners to secure the network; this creates currency issuance until the total supply cap is reached. Once the cap (21 billion DGB) is reached, no additional coins will be minted.
How is Digibyte inflation calculated?
Digibyte inflation is calculated by comparing the circulating supply from one year ago to today’s supply. The percentage increase in supply over that period is the annual inflation rate. Learn more in our guide: What is cryptocurrency inflation?.
How is Digibyte emission calculated?
