What is Tellor?
Tellor is a decentralized oracle network that delivers trusted off-chain data to smart contracts. It relies on a network of incentivized reporters who submit data reports and stake TRB to secure accuracy, with governance driven by TRB holders. This provides censorship-resistant, reliable data feeds for DeFi, lending, and other blockchain applications.
Why does Tellor have inflation?
Tellor has an inflationary model because new TRB tokens are minted as rewards for reporters who submit data and participate in the network. This ongoing minting incentivizes data availability, participation, and network security.
How is Tellor inflation calculated?
Tellor inflation is calculated by comparing the circulating supply from one year ago to today’s supply. The percentage increase in supply over that period is the annual inflation rate. Learn more in our guide: What is cryptocurrency inflation?.
How is Tellor emission calculated?
