What is Axie-infinity?
Axie Infinity is a blockchain-based game where players collect, breed, and battle fantasy creatures called Axies. Built on Ethereum with the Ronin sidechain to reduce fees, it enables players to earn tokens through battles, quests, and breeding, creating a vibrant play-to-earn economy with NFT Axies and items, plus the AXS governance token and SLP utility token.
Why does Axie-infinity have inflation?
Inflation in Axie Infinity mainly stems from the ongoing minting of the SLP (Smooth Love Potion) token as daily play-to-earn rewards and to fund Axie breeding, which increases token supply as player activity grows. While SLP is burned through breeding, the minting rate can outpace demand at times, creating inflationary pressure in the ecosystem.
How is Axie-infinity inflation calculated?
